Custom Hearing Aids Manufactured to the Fitting, Not to a Fixed Catalogue

Suzhou COMPAW Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. designs, manufactures and exports intelligent rehabilitation aids and accessible mobility equipment, and hearing support belongs to the same work of restoring everyday independence. As Custom Hearing Aids Manufacturers, Factory, we build custom-fit hearing instruments for distributors, hearing clinics, elderly-care operators and private-label programmes, backed by a 50,000 ㎡ factory, more than 300 employees and 25 years of manufacturing experience.

Hearing aids sit beside China Visual Aids Manufacturers inside our broader China Communication & Sensory Aids Manufacturers range, so a care home, rehabilitation department or channel customer can source hearing and vision support from one production and documentation system.

Our Range in the Hearing Aid Category

Every instrument we supply is defined by the wearer's audiogram and ear geometry rather than by a stock size. The range is organised by wearing style, electronics level and power requirement, which lets us match a single clinic account or a national distribution programme with one consistent build sheet format.

  • Behind-the-ear (BTE) instruments with custom earmolds or instant domes, including high-gain versions for profound losses.
  • Receiver-in-canal (RIC/RITE) models with replaceable receivers and rechargeable or disposable power.
  • Custom in-the-ear shells — full shell, half shell, in-the-canal and completely-in-canal formats.
  • CROS and BiCROS pairs for single-sided hearing loss, plus accessories such as dry boxes, chargers, domes, wax guards and cleaning tools.
  • OEM/ODM builds with customer branding, colourways, packaging and instruction manuals.

Wearing Styles and Where Each One Fits

Style Typical hearing loss Build and wearing notes Project inputs we confirm
BTE Mild to profound Processor behind the ear, tube to a custom earmold or dome; the greatest gain headroom and the easiest battery handling. Audiogram, earmold impression, tube length, gain class.
RIC / RITE Mild to severe Receiver seated in the canal on a thin wire; discreet profile with rechargeable options. Receiver power class, dome or earmold, wire length.
ITE / half shell Mild to severe Custom shell fills part of the concha; larger controls suit users with reduced manual dexterity. Ear impression, vent size, control layout.
ITC Mild to moderate Shell sits mainly in the canal with a smaller faceplate and fewer manual controls. Canal diameter, vent, cell size.
CIC / IIC Mild to moderate Deep canal placement for cosmetic discretion; the smallest cells and limited wireless options. Canal length and bend, skin sensitivity, removal cord.
CROS / BiCROS Single-sided loss Transmitter on the non-hearing ear sends signal to a receiver instrument on the better ear. Ear assignment, pairing, programme set.

Configuration Variables That Define a Build

A custom hearing aid is an electroacoustic device as much as a mechanical fit. We work from a build sheet that fixes the acoustic and electronic targets before shells are produced, so the physical fit and the amplification curve are designed together.

  • Acoustics: gain class, maximum output, frequency response shaping, vent diameter and damping.
  • Processing: number of compression channels, feedback cancellation strength, noise and impulse-sound management, programme count.
  • Control: push-button, rocker switch, remote or smartphone app control; telecoil for loop-system venues.
  • Power: 10, 312, 13 or 675 cells, or a rechargeable lithium system with a desktop or travel charger.
  • Wireless: Bluetooth LE Audio or made-for-smartphone streaming, plus TV and remote-microphone accessories.
  • Protection: water- and dust-resistance rating, wax-guard type and nano-coating where the application requires it.

Shells, Materials and Wearability

Shells are produced from the per-ear geometry supplied for the project, whether that arrives as a physical ear impression or as a digital ear scan. Acrylic shells give a stable, easy-to-clean surface for full-shell and ITE formats; softer silicone materials are used where canal movement, pressure points or ear-canal sensitivity make a rigid shell uncomfortable during long wearing sessions.

Venting, retention and canal length are set together with the acoustic target, because a comfortable shell that leaks too much low-frequency sound will not meet the fitting curve. We also record the accessories the wearer will handle daily — wax guards, domes, cleaning tools and removal cords — so the finished instrument suits the user's dexterity rather than the assembly line.

OEM, Private Label and Market Adaptation

Our service model covers OEM/ODM development from market concept through mass production, including functional parameters, appearance, interaction logic and packaging. Programme-specific work covers the fitting range, colour and faceplate marking, retail carton artwork, multilingual manuals and spare-parts kits for channel partners.

We prepare regulatory documentation for the destination market and collaborate with customers on localised certification adaptation, which is the same trade and compliance workflow we use for our mobility and rehabilitation equipment exports to the EU, North America and other markets.

Quality Control and Acceptance

Production runs under full-process quality control aligned with international manufacturing standards: incoming material checks, in-process shell and assembly inspection, and a functional test on every finished instrument before packing. Serial and batch records let us trace a unit back to its shell, electronics platform and software configuration.

Acceptance for a custom hearing aid order is agreed in the project definition, normally against the electroacoustic curve for each model — measured gain, maximum output and frequency response — together with feedback-free operation at rated gain, charging cycle behaviour, wireless pairing and shell retention. Any deviation is reviewed against the agreed target before shipment.

Information We Use to Configure Your Solution

Input What we need How it shapes the build
Audiogram Air- and bone-conduction thresholds per ear in dB HL Sets gain, maximum output and fitting range
Ear geometry Impression or digital ear scan for each ear Defines shell shape, vent and retention
Form factor Preferred style, handling and cosmetic requirements Fixes faceplate size, cell type and controls
Electronics level Channels, programmes, feedback management, streaming Determines the processing platform and accessories
Branding Logo, retail packaging, manual languages Drives private-label artwork and documentation
Market and service Destination country, channel type, spare-parts plan Sets compliance work, training and after-sales scope

Delivery Scope, Documentation and Service

A typical shipment includes the instruments, carrying case, cleaning set, domes or earmolds, spare wax guards, batteries or charger, and a printed user guide. Instructions, fitting references and troubleshooting documents are prepared in the languages the programme requires, and batch records travel with the consignment.

For clinics, care operators and distributors we support regular technical inspection, calibration checks, operator training, remote fault diagnosis and fast spare-parts supply. Mobile and assistive product lines follow the same export, packaging and documentation workflow described in our China Accessible Mobility Machine Manufacturers range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which hearing aid formats can COMPAW supply as custom builds?

BTE with custom earmolds or domes, RIC/RITE, full-shell and half-shell ITE, ITC, CIC/IIC, and CROS or BiCROS pairs. Each format is assembled to the audiogram, ear geometry and power requirement of the programme.

What do you need before a hearing aid quotation can be prepared?

Can you manufacture hearing aids under our own brand?

Yes. OEM/ODM development covers functional parameters, appearance, interaction logic, packaging and multilingual documentation, with colour and faceplate marking configured for your brand and market.

How is acceptance verified on a custom order?

Against the electroacoustic curve agreed for each model, together with feedback-free operation at rated gain, charging behaviour, wireless pairing and shell retention, plus serial and batch traceability for every instrument shipped.

What ships with each instrument?

Carrying case, cleaning set, domes or earmolds, spare wax guards, batteries or charger, and printed user documentation in the requested languages.

Do you support distributors after delivery?

We provide spare-parts supply, multilingual technical documentation, online troubleshooting guides, remote fault diagnosis and operator training so channel partners can build their own service capability locally.
